Thanks Microsloth - after you kept insisting that you weren't going to release this until January 10 even with everyone complaining for days we sent a note to all users with work around instructions.

Yeah, their whole concept of releasing patches in groups on certain Tuesdays only is D-U-M-B.

We have a glaring security hole, but we aren't going to give you the patch yet.....lol.

Despite previous indications that the Windows Meta File (WMF) security exploit patch will be released on January 10th, Microsoft has released an update via MS Update to fix the WMF issue.

1. If you installed the patch recommended earlier this week, Microsoft recommends uninstalling it first.
2. To re register the Microsoft Image and Fax Viewer:
Click Start, click Run, type "regsvr32 %windir%/system32/shimgvw.dll" (without the quotation marks), and then click OK.
3. Download and install the new patch: Windows 2000 SP4 | Windows XP | Windows XP x64 | Windows Server 2003 Fix
